It is clinically better for you to be seen at the surgery where we have better facilities, diagnostic aids and lighting to assess you.
If you need a doctor to visit you at home please call the surgery before 10.00am, enabling the doctor to plan his/her visit list. You will be asked for brief details in order to allow the doctor to prioritise visits. The doctor may call you back to ask for more details.
In general, we ask that patients only request a home visit if they are genuinely housebound and too unwell to come to the surgery. If so, you will usually be visited by your doctor after morning surgery.
Your doctor can usually see several patients at the surgery in the time that it takes to make a single housecall. Home visits are not for those who do not have transport.
